AFTER accepting the Golden Globe for best actor, 41-year-old Casey naturally thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press, as well as the cast and crew of his award-winning film, Manchester by the Sea.
Though his speech was welcomed with a thunderous applause from the audience, Casey failed to mention one person — his famous older sibling.
“He thanked a s**t load of people, I gotta tell you the truth,” 44-year-old Ben said on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
“I was a little taken aback. That’s not the kind of thing I would do.”
Taking a stroll down memory lane, host Jimmy Kimmel found a clip of Ben accepting the Academy Award for Good Will Hunting in 1998, in which he praised “brilliant” brother Casey for his performance in the flick.
Though Casey will likely have another chance at redemption this awards season — given his standing as an Oscar favourite — Ben used his moment on Kimmel to get back at his baby brother.
“This would be the very first time someone would win an Oscar who didn’t brush his teeth from ages 10 to 14,” Ben shared.
“This would be the very first time someone wins an Oscar who pulls his pants all the way down at the urinal.”
Ben continued to dump the skeletons from Casey’s closet, including his misunderstanding of a certain time-travelling trilogy.
“[He’d] be the first person to win who’s scared of butterflies,” Ben said.
“He would be the first person to win who used to touch himself watching Vicki the Robot from Small Wonder. Last but not least, this would be the very first person to win an Oscar who once asked his brother if Back to the Future was a true story.’”
Oscar nominations will be announced on January 25 and Jimmy Kimmel will host the 89th edition of Hollywood’s biggest night on February 27.
