Sydney Sweeney stuns in racy Emmys gown
The star shook off mounting criticism about her personal and professional life, stepping out in a bombshell red dress at TV’s night of nights.
Sydney Sweeney was, unsurprisingly, a red carpet highlight at today’s Emmys.
The US actress, 28, stepped out in a bombshell red strapless Oscar de la Renta dress for TV’s night of nights at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Flaunting her most-famous assets, Sweeney posed for photographers in her silky gown before later presenting an award at the televised ceremony.

Sweeney’s outing at the Emmys comes amid the star’s turbulent few months in the spotlight.
More recently, her love life has made headlines with rumours the Euphoria star is dating controversial businessman Scooter Braun, 44.
That story emerged amid ongoing controversy over her American Eagle ad back in August.
The campaign featured a denim-clad Sweeney saying, “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour. My jeans are blue.”
It immediately faced backlash over claims the messaging pushed “eugenics” and “White supremacy” themes, while also sparking a debate about beauty standards.
Days later, Sweeney was identified as a registered Republican in Florida as of June last year, prompting President Donald Trump to declare in a press conference he thought the ad was “fantastic”.
Sweeney is yet to comment on the saga.
Meanwhile, the 2025 Emmys are being hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze.
In his debut gig as host, he opened the show by introducing a brutal new rule to keep festivities moving along, putting down a large charity donation as he explained any award winner whose speech goes longer than 45 seconds will eat into the pool of cash.
Elsewhere, The Studio is the most-nominated first-year comedy series in the awards’ history with 23 nominations, so it was unsurprising Seth Rogen won the first gong of the evening for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy.
The most-nominated shows among the categories are Severance and The White Lotus, each scoring 10 nods.
