ARIA Awards 2025: Winners, performances and highlights as they happen

One of the most famous Aussie rock frontmen of all time made a surprise cameo at the ARIAs - looking virtually unrecognisable.

Former Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns made a surprise appearance via a pre-recorded video at the ARIAs on Wednesday night.

Johns, 46, looked barely recognisable hiding under a big hat and dark sunglasses, as he helped induct You Am I into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

Amyl and the Sniffers were the biggest winners at this year’s ARIA Awards, picking up four awards including the coveted Album of the Year gong.

Indie self-taught producer Ninajriachi had scored this year’s most nominations, eight, for her debut album I Love My Computer. She won a few of those, including Breakthrough Artist and Best Solo Artist.

Earlier, stars walked the red carpet - with visiting international stars Olivia Dean and Kacey Musgraves among the fashion highlights.

The 2025 ARIA Awards streamed live from 5pm AEDT on Paramount+. The red carpet coverage aired on 10 at 7pm AEDT, with the ceremony to air after Big Brother. We live blogged all the highlights from the ceremony below, as they happen...
