THINGS go downhill fast when Kyle returns with two city mates to his hometown in country Victoria to get married.
A friend from school and Kyle’s younger brother join the three snobs in a seedy hotel for a tense and tawdry buck’s night.
Kyle’s tied to the bed, the beer and drugs flow, and the town’s best stripper is only moments away.
But there’s more — much more — not least a gratuitous scene with an inflatable sex doll that’s used and abused throughout the performance.
Meanwhile, Kyle’s city pals manage to insult the local drug dealer, all hell breaks loose, and bonds of family and mateship fracture.
Featuring not a single redeeming character, awful stereotypes, some solid self-loathing and woeful attitudes towards women, this new original work by all-male Melbourne collective Bad Ducks Co lacks insight and focus, despite some good writing and decent performances.
It aims to offend, and succeeds brilliantly.
