Adelaide Fringe review 2019: Lano & Woodley — Fly
A paper-thin dramatisation of the Wright brothers’ story is perfect the intelligent, knockabout comedy of Lano & Woodley — this is genius.

The 2018 reunion of classic comedy duo Lano & Woodley to the stage was a happy event, and in the intervening year their returning show Fly has attained a fairly shrill pitch of perfection.
The paper-thin premise of dramatising the story of the Wright brothers is a perfect vehicle for their own unique brand of intelligent yet knockabout comedy, with quite literally something for everyone.
The aerial metaphor runs through their artful improvisations, winging it time and time again, and even flying by the seat of their pants — though Frank’s aside about Icarus flying too close to the sun is surely a fiction, for there’s no chance these guys are going to accidentally melt their wings.
They’re too good, and Fly is genius.
