IF truth, dare, kiss or promise with a total stranger sounds intriguing, then Sex and Death – and the Internet might just be for you.
This inventive, immersive one-on-one experience is an in-depth exploration of how well we know ourselves – what might we change and who do we wish to become?
Through a virtual interaction – where you ask and answer questions with so
meone you’ve only just met and know little about – you are invited to confess your deepest secrets, insights and desires.
There are few taboos.
Questions around death, sex, body image, ageing, and love are selected randomly by computer from a reserve put together by creator Samara Hersch and her team of collaborators.
It’s a journey you can take at any stage of life that may elicit thoughts you didn’t think you believed or challenge those you did.
The creators insist this is a safe and private conversation, not recorded.
In many ways the less you know before you enter the space will enhance the overall experience but a full description of the process is on the show’s Festival page for those who insist on knowing precisely what they will encounter at every step.
Is this theatre, a therapy session or a little of both? Only you can know – but take the challenge and surprise yourself, it’s worth it.
