A nappy change or two is on the long-range forecast for weather presenter Amelia Mulcahy.

The Channel 7 personality and her husband Matt are expecting their second child in October.

“This pregnancy is something I’ve wanted for some time, so it’s been really nice to share the news with everyone, especially considering how hard it was to keep quiet these last couple of months with the Fringe, Womad and the footy – it’s been a busy time,” Mulcahy said.

The only one more thrilled than Mulcahy and Matt is their three-year-old daughter Grace.

“We told Grace once we were ready to tell our family, and she was so excited,” she said.

“She loves babies, always has, and was so happy with the news.

“Now most mornings she blows raspberries on my tummy; it’s been really sweet.”

Pregnancy the second time around had not been smooth sailing so far, Mulcahy said.

“I must admit I haven’t been feeling the greatest this time round; morning sickness has turned into all-day sickness for me,” she said. “But I’m starting to turn a corner and hoping 7NEWS viewers haven’t noticed.”
