Western Adelaide’s fastest growing schools revealed

Marion Primary School has experienced an enrolment boom in recent years.
Enrolments at the Malcolm Ave school jumped 58.1 per cent in the five years to the end of 2018, from 129 students to 204.
An analysis of federal government data revealed Marion was the second fastest growing school in Adelaide’s west over the five-year period.
Not surprisingly, Sacred Heart, which amalgamated with Marymount College in 2018, topped the list, with a 96.9 per cent increase in student numbers.
The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority figures are the most up to date enrolment numbers that include all state and private schools nationally.
According to the latest publically available data, student numbers at Sacred Heart College, which is split over two campuses, grew from 1039 students in 2014 to 2047 in 2018.
Errington Special Education Centre had the third biggest enrolment boom in the area, with 42 more students in 2018 than in 2013 – a 54.5 per cent increase.
