Southern Adelaide’s most improved NAPLAN schools over five years

These are the Adelaide South schools that have improved their NAPLAN results the most in the last five years.

An analysis of five years’ worth of NAPLAN results has revealed the schools that have improved their Year 5 and Year 9 student scores the most.

The Adelaide South school that improved their Year 5 results the most between 2014 and 2018 was Hallett Cove South Primary School, in Hallett Cove, where the average results across all subjects improved by 15.7 per cent.

Average Year 9 results at Cardijn College, in Noarlunga Downs, increased by 4.3 per cent, the biggest improvement in Adelaide South.

The analysis compared each school’s combined results for each NAPLAN subject in 2014 and compared to the same results in 2018.

Adelaide South’s second biggest improvement in Year 5 results over those five years was Huntfield Heights Primary School, in Huntfield Heights, where scores increased 11.9 per cent.

The third biggest Year 5 improver was Noarlunga Downs Primary School, in Noarlunga Downs, where results increased 9.4 per cent over the five-year period.

The Adelaide South school with the second biggest Year 9 improvement between 2014 and 2018 was Willunga High School, in Willunga, where results improved 3.3 per cent.

Average results at Hallett Cove School, in Hallett Cove, increased 1.8 per cent, the third highest increase in Adelaide South.

Huntfield Heights Primary School: 11.9 per cent

Noarlunga Downs Primary School: 9.4 per cent

Southern Vales Christian College: 8.9 per cent

Reynella Primary School: 6.8 per cent

Seaford K-7 Birth-Y7 Campus: 5.4 per cent

Sheidow Park Primary School: 5.3 per cent

Hallett Cove East Primary School: 5.2 per cent

Antonio Catholic School: 4.8 per cent

Port Noarlunga Primary School: 4.7 per cent
