City of Moreton Bay NAPLAN 2025: Independent schools leave others behind
Out of 100 schools assessed in the City of Moreton Bay in 2025 NAPLAN tests, independent combined colleges consistently topped both Year 5 and Year 9 rankings.
Independent schools have dominated the 2025 City of Moreton Bay NAPLAN results, leaving many government schools trailing behind.
Out of 100 schools assessed, 69 primary and 31 secondary, independent combined colleges consistently topped both Year 5 and Year 9 rankings.
Catholic schools held strong middle-ground positions, with government schools largely clustered in the mid-to-lower range.
At the primary level, government schools filled most of the lower rankings, with Caboolture State School scraping in at the bottom with a score of 404 and Morayfield State School on 407.4.
The Lakes College in North Lakes topped Year 5 scores for the area with 527.4, followed by Caboolture Montessori with 509 and Albany Hills State School with 502.6.
Among secondary schools, Genesis Christian College in Bray Park led the pack with an average of 608.6, ahead of The Lakes College recording 602 and Australian Christian College – City of Moreton Bay getting 591.
However, the state government secondary schools trailed with only a few exceptions, such as Albany Creek State High which scored 574.8 and Redcliffe State High School with 562.6, cracking the top rankings.
Secondary government schools Caboolture State High scored 497.4 and Morayfield State High 498.4, behind independent and Catholic colleges by more than 100 points in some cases.
