SA’s Orana named best restaurant in Australia

RUNDLE St diner Orana has been crowned the nation’s best, named the 2018 Restaurant of the Year at Gourmet Traveller’s annual awards held in Sydney last night

It’s the first time a restaurant outside Sydney and Melbourne has won the honour in 20 years.

Orana has been the stage on which owner and chef Jock Zonfrillo has presented innovative creations using Australian Indigenous foods.

Four other SA restaurants made the Top 100: Penfold’s Magill Estate ranked 14, Hentley Farm (50), Botanic Gardens Restaurant (54) and Africola (56).

Orana has twice been voted the Advertiser Food Guide’s Restaurant of the Year.
