There have been 3,053 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today with two men in their 80s dying with Covid in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 24,475 active Covid cases in South Australia.

There are 224 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including eight people in ICU. Of those hospitalised, 111 people have received three or more vaccine doses and 113 people are either unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Yesterday, 8,720 people received a PCR test and 1,624 PCR tests were positive, while 1,429

positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.

There have been five more deaths from Covid announced today, and the number of new cases has risen slightly to 3171.

But the numbers may change – SA Health said in its daily report that 19 PCR tests had gone missing after being collected from a metropolitan respiratory clinic.

SA Pathology has contacted those people and is tracking them down and offering home tests.

SA Health said the new tests would be a “priority” today.

Elderly people continue to succumb to Covid, as SA Health said four women, in their 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s and a man in his 90s have died with Covid.

The 3171 new cases bring the total number of active cases in SA to 24,840.

There are 211 people in hospital, including 11 in ICU. Of those in hospital, 97 people, 46 per cent, have had three or more doses of Covid vacine. The remainder, 114, are either partially vaccinated, unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccine status.

There were 3901 new cases of Covid reported in South Australia on Friday, bringing the total number to 25,257.

SA Health confirmed four people had died – a woman in her 70s, a woman in her 80s, a man in his 60s and a man in his 90s.

There are 218 people with Covid in hospital, including 13 people in ICU. Of those hospitalised, 104 people had received three or more vaccine doses and 114 people are either unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

There have been five more deaths and the number of new Covid cases has jumped to 4395.

SA Health announced on Thursday that two women in their 80s, one woman in her 90s, and two men in their 80s have died with Covid.

There are 246 people in hospital with Covid, including 11 in ICU. Of those in hospital, 120 have received three or more vaccines, and 126 (slightly over 51 per cent) are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, or have an unknown vaccination status.

South Australia now has 25,629 active cases.

There were 4072 new Covid cases reported in SA on Wednesday, bringing the total number to

25,911.

SA Health confirmed there were six deaths – one man in his 50s, one man in his 70s, two men in their 80s, and two men in their 90s.

There were 247 people with Covid in hospital, including 10 people in ICU, with one of those requiring a ventilator.

Of those hospitalised, 129 people had received three or more vaccine doses and 118 people are either unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

There have been 3773 new cases of Covid reported in South Australia today and two people with Covid have died – a man in his 80s and a woman in her 90s.

There are currently 26,310 active cases in South Australia with a total 405 deaths in SA since the pandemic began.

There are 246 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including seven people in ICU, with three of those on a ventilator.

Of those hospitalised, 126 people had received three or more vaccine doses and

120 people are either unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

All new cases are the BA.2 variant.

Yesterday, 8873 people received a PCR test in South Australia – of those, 1751 PCR tests were positive, while 2022 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.

There were 3392 new cases of Covid reported in SA on Monday, bringing the number of active cases to 26,840 on Monday.

The number of cases is a slight drop on Sunday’s figure of 3796. However, SA Health confirmed two people had died – a woman in her 70s and a man in his 70s.

There are 248 people with Covid in hospital, including seven people in ICU, three of those requiring a ventilator.

Of those hospitalised, 130 people had received three or more vaccine doses and 118 people are either unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

It comes as authorities prepare to launch 40 new school vaccination hubs after new figures showed hundreds of extra Covid-19 patients had been reinfected with Omicron in SA.

New SA Health data shows 1256 patients have reported having coronavirus twice, which is 358 more cases than was recorded a fortnight ago.
