A woman left with debilitating health after she suffered multiple strokes is the latest South Australian to die after contracting Covid-19, her family says.

Christine Eross, 65, from Angle Park, was diagnosed with the virus on Tuesday, and was later admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she was on oxygen, her family said.

She died on Wednesday afternoon, but is yet to be included in SA Health’s official tally due to ongoing investigations.

The northern suburbs woman created a fundraiser seeking help in 2017, after she suffered seven strokes in less than 10 years.

She said the strokes had affected her left side, and her left hand was unusable.

“I’m on a pension and do not have any money that’s why I’m doing this, I’m desperate to get better,” she wrote.

Her son Darien Eross told 7NEWS Adelaide he was still in shock after his mother’s death.

“I can’t believe how quick it was,” he said. “She loved everyone, she treated everyone with respect.”

Amid her other health battles, Ms Erros was also recovering from a broken neck.

“She was tough as nails,” Mr Erros said. “(But) it went from ‘she’s on oxygen, she’s doing good, she might be fine’ to ‘she’s gone’.”

Others have taken to social media to remember Ms Eross.

“Rip Chrissy, you were a lovely lady now flying high with Dave, together again,” one woman said.

Ms Eross’ partner Dave died in the past 12 months.

Another woman said she used to see Ms Eross every day for community services.

“She was a beautiful lady, RIP Christine,” she wrote.

The death is expected to be recorded in Friday’s daily case numbers.

It comes after the family of Dakota Nenke, who tragically died on December 28 after contracting Covid at just 13 months old, remembered her as a beautiful little girl with a sassy personality.
