An open letter to the people of South Australia from Chief Public Health Officer Professor Nicola Spurrier

SA has done a terrific job in halting the spread of COVID-19 but we can’t take our foot off the pedal, Professor Spurrier writes today in an open letter to South Australians.

How to help SA stay COVID Safe

This year, South Australians have all worked together to protect our state. We can all be proud of the way we’ve played our part in stopping the spread of COVID-19. But we need to keep going as the risk of COVID-19 hasn’t gone away. COVID SAfe Check-In is another way we can keep each other safe and continue doing the things we enjoy.

Checking in at businesses, venues and events enables SA Health to quickly contact you if you have been somewhere at the same time as someone with COVID-19. We can get immediate health advice to you and stop the spread.

Your information is kept completely confidential and only retained for 28 days. Access is by SA Health for official contact tracing purposes only.

Checking in via the mySA GOV app ensures we stay ahead of any future clusters or outbreaks. It’s quick and easy, and by using the app you can be assured you are scanning an official QR code.

The COVID SAfe Check-In is a simple thing we can all do to keep our community safe.

Thank you for playing your part to stop the spread.
