TK Maxx opens second Adelaide store at Harbour Town

US fashion retailer TK Maxx has opened its second Adelaide store at Harbour Town, joining a long list of new retailers at the outlet shopping precinct.

US fashion and homewares chain TK Maxx headlines a string of new retailers to set up shop at outlet shopping precinct Harbour Town.

TK Maxx opened its doors at Harbour Town on Thursday, joining other new retailers including Kate Spade and Coach, which have both unveiled their first South Australian stand-alone stores at the complex.

Other brands including Boss and Guess have also recently opened at Harbour Town, while Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein recently expanded their premises.

Harbour Town Premium Outlets Adelaide marketing manager Tanya Demaria said the new stores, coupled with a strong period of trade at the precinct, had helped drive down vacancies to less than 0.4 per cent of lettable space.

“The whole premium outlet concept has really evolved, with the core focus being on offering leading premium designer brands at affordable prices,” she said.

“Outlet is no longer considered a destination for unwanted and damaged stock, it’s all about quality.

“As we continue to welcome back interstate and overseas tourists, shoppers will start to notice additional upgrades to the centre as part of a new $5.4m investment including renewed store-fronts, landscaping, seating, children’s play areas and improved bathroom facilities.”

Harbour Town has more than 120 outlet stores, with 26 new and expanded stores opening over the past 12 months.

The Harbour Town store is the second TK Maxx outlet to open in South Australia following the launch of its Pasadena store in 2020.

It’s expected to create about 50 local jobs.
