TWO months into installing a new $1 million bottling line, Willunga beverages producer Mojo is upsizing to respond to a growing thirst for its offerings.

The famous kombucha producer is now selling three of its varieties in new 750ml bottles in what co-founder Anthony Crabb said was another sign of the continual growth of the business.

“We have been buoyed by the demand for larger bottle sizes and feel like we’re going from strength to strength,” Anthony Crabb said.

The new bottles made from fully recyclable glass are also in keeping with its zero landfill waste policy.

It follows the launch of the new bottling line in March, which increased production by more than 65 per cent to 20,000 cases per week, creating an extra 10 jobs.

Kombucha, known for helping gut health, is made from fermented tea and live culture.

Marketing manager Andrew Buttery said Mojo was also looking at exporting to Asia now that the expansion was completed.

A third bottling line could be on the cards next year, Mr Buttery said. Mojo is also working with suppliers, retailers and consumers to help reduce its carbon footprint, shifting its printing, where possible, to soy or vegetable-based inks and recycled paper.

“We are constantly striving to improve what we do,” he said.
