FIVE of the state’s most dynamic businessmen have been named finalists in this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
The central region winners, announced at a gala dinner at Adelaide Oval last night, include property developer Nicho Teng and Discovery Parks chief executive Grant Wilckens. Unity Housing chief executive Matthew Woodward was recognised with the Social Entrepreneur award.
EY Adelaide managing partner Mark Phelps said this year’s finalists continued to thrive and survive in challenging economic conditions.
“This year’s winners could not be more different and are a great reflection on the increasing number of diverse, high growth businesses we have in South Australia,” he said.
“From telephone infrastructure solutions, frozen and fresh meals, and holiday leisure parks, through to water treatment solutions and energy efficient lighting, they cover B2B, B2C and everything in between.”
The central region finalists, representing SA/NT, will go on to compete for EY’s national awards held in October, with the overall Australian winner travelling to Monte Carlo in June to compete for the title of EY World Entrepreneur of the Year.
