BUILDING company Coombs Barei Constructions will trade on after the Supreme Court dismissed a winding up application against the firm linked to Adelaide United co-owner Bruno Marveggio.

The court heard yesterday that petitioning creditor Fleurieu Cranes and supporting creditors had consented to the dismissal of the application in light of Coombs Barei meeting its debt obligations.

Fleurieu Cranes filed winding up action against the Hindmarsh commercial property developer in April over a $102,513 debt for crane hire.

Judge Katrina Bochner agreed to dismiss the action after Coombs Barei, part owned by Mr Marveggio, reached a payment plan with Hindmarsh concreting company Valtec Constructions.

The Sunday Mail revealed last month that the Commonwealth Bank, with the consent of Mr Marveggio, had been granted court authority to repossess his Fulham house over an undisclosed debt.

But Mr Marveggio’s lawyer Stephen Williams had told the paper his clients were “confident” the bank would not have to execute the possession order.
