David Devine’s ultra lux 38-level Royale Gold Coast has broken its own off-the-plan penthouse record just weeks after setting a new benchmark in the same tower.
The prestige beachfront tower in Surfers Paradise has notched up a $19.568m sale of its newly released full-floor penthouse on level 36.
The tower has now achieved more than $38m in two penthouse sales over a matter of weeks, following the $19,180,053 sale of its level 35 penthouse late May.
They mark the two highest off-the-plan apartment sales in Surfers Paradise history.
The most recent transaction, Penthouse 3601, was secured by a local Gold Coast businessman
who purchased a half-floor apartment in Royale Gold Coast soon after the development was
launched to the market. He then decided to purchase the full floor level 36 Penthouse when it was recently released to the market.
As the building’s architectural form becomes more prominent during construction, the purchaser recognised the rare opportunity to secure a full-floor penthouse and chose to upgrade to the level 36 residence.
DD Living’s Devine (illustrated) says that construction is well advanced, the building’s form is becoming visible from the street.
“Buyers can fully appreciate the scale, quality and rarity of what we’re delivering,” he says.
“Each penthouse features over 660 sqm of internal and external space, including a gourmet
kitchen with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, an oversized butler’s pantry, a striking glass wine
cellar and full-sized bar, formal dining for 14, and expansive indoor-outdoor entertaining zones.”
Call to arms
Consolidated Properties and Hutchinson Builders‘ 28th Showcase Cocktail Party attracted more than 800 revellers at the Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday night with deputy premier Jarrod Bleijie telling the crowd that “Queensland is open for business”.
In a rousing speech Bleijie took aim at the unions and said with just seven years to go the LNP government was doing the heavy lifting for the Olympics and more – all of which received loud cheers.
Both sides of government were there as was a cohort of interstaters with hopefully deep pockets.
There was plenty to eat and drink and this diarist was drawn to the innovative cheese wall – as were of others.
Co-host Don O’Rorke and Hutchies’ director Jack Hutchinson gave speeches and dad Scott – who at last count owned eight venues including the Fortitude Music Hall – gave the shortest speech – saying he’ll be back at the venue of Thursday to see Swedish punk band The Hives play.
Dig the event
The Noosa Mining Investors Conference kicked off on Wednesday with more than 70 ASX-listed explorers and miners pitching to well over 1000 punters at Peppers Noosa Resort.
Some of the bigger names there included Queensland’s Ballymore Resources, Elementos and Sunshine Metals.
As a prelude, share price whisperers Republic Investor Relations hosted its uptown NightCaps event at the swanky Locale Ristorante on Hastings St for a 150-strong audience.
They sucked back oysters and champagne before Brazilian dancing troupe Sambaliscious closed the evening with some quickstepping and a conga line.
“Life is fuller with feathers” reckons Republic managing director Gareth Quinn.
The last day is Friday and we’re sure there will be more than a few miners and their fans staying on.
