Mellor Olsson Lawyers and regional practice Jenkins Anderson merge

ADELAIDE'S Mellor Olsson Lawyers and regional practice Jenkins Anderson have merged to boost their footprint in rural South Australia.

ADELAIDE'S Mellor Olsson Lawyers and regional practice Jenkins Anderson have merged to boost their footprint in rural South Australia.

Jenkins Anderson, which serviced the Eyre Peninsula and the state's Mid North, would keep its offices in Port Lincoln and Auburn and trade under the Mellor Olsson name.

Headquartered in Adelaide, Mellor Olsson would also maintain its regional offices in Kadina, McLaren Vale and Nuriootpa.

Mellor Olsson managing partner Andrew Goode said it had a long history of acting for country clients and farming organisations.

"The merger will help us achieve Jenkins Anderson's aim to be the rest regional law firm in SA and Mellor Olsson's aim to continue providing services to country clients throughout SA," Mr Goode said.

"We'll have people on the ground, living in the country, ensuring we have a thorough understanding of country issues."

Jenkins Anderson Port Lincoln partner Joe Anderson said the merger was a logical evolution for the firm.

"(It) fulfils our aim to be the premier regionally-focused law firm in SA," he said.
