THE Australian dollar is lower after US stocks lost almost one per cent on concerns that the conflict in Ukraine could worsen.
At 0630 AEST on Wednesday, the local currency was trading at 93.04 US cents, down from 93.34 cents on Tuesday.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski told reporters overnight that Russia had increased its military presence on the Ukraine border, suggesting a possible escalation in the conflict.
