THE Australian dollar has bounced a little after hitting a two-month low following the shock rise in the unemployment rate.

THE Australian dollar has bounced a little after hitting a two-month low following the shock rise in the unemployment rate.
At 0630 AEST on Friday, the local dollar was trading at 92.75 US cents, up from 92.66 cents on Thursday.
Late on Thursday night AEST, the currency fell as low as 92.59 US cents, its weakest level since June 5.
Australia’s jobless rate jumped to a 12-year high of 6.4 per cent in July, from six per cent a month earlier.
