Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis said Entech’s expansion was emblematic of the move away from traditional manufacturing towards high-value advanced manufacturing.

“We are using the Future Jobs Fund to help South Australian businesses capitalise on the opportunities that exist now so we can create as many jobs in advanced manufacturing and other high-growth sectors as possible,” he said.

Entech managing director Wayne Hoffman said the investment was the company’s “single largest project”.

“Hi-tech, high-reliability, high-value and niche products represent the future of manufacturing in Australia and we are proud to be at the forefront of the precision electronics market,” he said.

Entech has 80 employees, as well as a manufacturing facility in China. The State Government estimates the expansion will also create 200 indirect jobs.
