Aussies are flocking to the shops to prepare for Christmas and New Year’s fun. Here is when the major retailers are closed.

Australians will be flooding the shops both before and after Christmas to stock up on food, drinks and gifts for the festive season – and try to nab a bargain at the sales.
Major supermarkets and retailers have different trading hours this time of year, and many vary by state.
Here is a wrap of what’s open and what’s not.
Woolworths
Christmas Eve (December 24, 2022): All stores open.
Christmas Day (December 25, 2022): All stores closed.
Boxing Day (December 26, 2022): All stores open in the Northern Territory, Queensland, NSW, ACT, Victoria and Tasmania.
In South Australia, all metropolitan stores are closed but regional stores are open, except Millicent.
In the NT, stores are open 8am-8pm except Gove, which is open 9am-5pm.
In WA, all stores are open except Esperance.
