Brisbane radio station lets disgraced ‘sovereign citizen’ on air

After being snubbed by a major chat show earlier this week, a prolific conspiracy theorist has finally made it on the airwaves.

After being snubbed by 2GB’s Ben Fordham, “free thinker” Guru has finally made it on the airwaves.

Widely labelled a so-called sovereign citizen, Dave Guru rejects that moniker, referring to himself as a “free thinker”.

He has amassed a following online with frequent live streams pushing for Australians to ditch government rule.

On Monday, Guru and another “free thinker” recorded themselves bombarding staff at 2GB with phone calls after claiming they were snubbed by radio host Ben Fordham for a spot on the show.

“As long as we get on air, I can handle whatever (Fordham) throws at me,” Guru said.

Fordham has been on a tirade of his own against “cookers”, even interviewing a “sovereign citizens” critic who warned about the dangers presented by such groups – ironically on the day Guru claimed he was going to be on the show.

Guru, who is mates with other high profile conspiracy theorists Dave Oneegs and Riccardo Bosi, promised his followers on the weekend that he was going to “red pill” people through the “mainstream media” – and in Brisbane, at least, he got his shot.

B105’s Stav, Abby and Matt on Wednesday aired a heavily redacted interview with Guru.

A disclaimer from the hosts said a lot of the interview was cut as it “did not meet the codes of broadcast”. But some wild claims still snuck through.

“I have seen enough information, I know that Covid was an absolute scam. I have all the documents to prove that Covid doesn’t even actually exist,” Guru said on the broadcast.

“You cannot pass on a virus, and I’m no doctor, but I’ve done a hell of a lot of research,” the show allowed to air.

Guru then went on to dodge a question about where he finds his research material to spruik sacking the government.

“We’ve gotta take this government down. It needs to be removed,” he lamented.

“We have a lot of stuff moving in the world that a lot of people won’t know about because all they do is sit and watch the mainstream media.

“You need to turn that inside out and upside down, then inside out, and you may then get what they’re talking about.”

Guru eventually did disclose where he gets his information – “the net”.
