‘Bunch of slimy crims’: Brisbane man catches a would-be intruder trying to scale his house

A slippery intruder tried to slither past a Brisbane man’s security system, adding to the list of unexpected visitors he has had in recent times.

Deadly snake creeps up on Aussie

A Brisbane man has shared the exact moment an intruder tried to slither past his security system.

We’d say the culprit was caught red-handed except, well, it didn’t have any.

A video posted by Brisbane Redditor WetWired shows a python scaling the outdoor area of his Springwood home in the dead of night, emerging from the shadows and giving the camera an extreme close up.

“Another attempted break in at my place last night, bunch of slimy crims,” the poster wrote.

“They‘re even scaling a wall to find a way in. Very determined,” another person responded.

“I think he owns your house now, sorry,” said another.

Pythons are quite common throughout Brisbane and southeast Queensland during the warmer months and often require a snakecatcher to intervene.

Remarkably, it’s not the first curious species the man has managed to catch on his backyard camera.
