Today’s feature question came from Heather, who needed to find out how to help her mum get through her day to day routine despite living away:

I live interstate and my mum lives on her own in Adelaide. I have two sisters who live in Adelaide but they are professionals with active families, which doesn’t leave a lot of time to see mum. She has a few health conditions and will have to stop driving in a few months, and I’m worried about how she’ll do the shopping and generally get out and about to her activities, as well as manage the household. I come home every few months but I feel really guilty about not being there for her all the time.
